Just thought I'd let everybody who reads this know that I got into the Vermont College Poetry program; so in two (at the most four) years I should have an MFA in Poetry. Congratulations Me.

I will be in Montpelier, Vermont from June 26-July 7... and then I won't be on campus again until January. Theoretically I will graduate in four semesters (6 months each). Good Luck Me.

I will be living in Cedar Rapids over the summer, working who knows where; and I will probably be living in this area for the next few years. Unless, of course, I fall in love with Vermont and fall out of love with Rosbert. I will prolly have a cat.

But seriously I am far more excited for my future than ever before. I had the thought tonight that I can and will become someone great. I will make my way in this world, and I will not compromise what I like, or those I care about, to do so. I will be a part of the system, but I will not be enslaved by the system. We'll see if this hope lasts or if the World will chew me up and spit me like so many spitballs on the chalkboard. Yes, Spitballs.


I feel like I am ready, and will be ready, just in time.
